Manage units - what's new
We’ve recently updated the Unit pages to make managing your settings quicker and more intuitive.
We've refreshed the Units configuration page to make it easier to find, edit, and organise your units — especially where you have large numbers of them or use parent/sub-unit setups.

What has changed at a glance
Units are now chosen from a searchable dropdown instead of a long list.
The details for the selected unit open inline on the same page.
There's a new Reorder button that lets you arrange parent units and their sub-units together in one place.
A dedicated Help button opens the knowledge base alongside the page
The page, its many tabs, and the reorder tool all work properly on phones and tablets.
Finding and selecting a unit
Choose a Category — the Unit dropdown then updates automatically.
Choose a Unit.
If your account uses sub-units, choose a Sub Unit where applicable.
All dropdowns support typing to filter, so you can type the first few letters of a unit name rather than scrolling.
Adding a unit
Click New Unit. The details card opens below the selectors.
Fill in the Name, Type, Occupancy, and any other fields.
- The button in the bottom-right reads Add — once you enter a name it updates to Add "Your Unit Name".
- Click to save.
The save button stays disabled until you make a change, so you can't accidentally save an unchanged form.

Updating a unit
Select the unit from the dropdown.
The update button stays disabled until you make a change, to help indicate that nothing has been amended.

Use the required tabs (Details, Rates, Deposits, Documents etc) to make your changes.
- The button now reads Update "Unit Name" or Update & Publish “Unit Name”. The difference will indicate what change you have made i.e requires publishing or not.
- Click to save and auto publish.

If you try to switch away — to a different unit, category, site, or the back button — while you have unsaved changes, you'll be asked whether to Save or Discard & continue first.

Cloning a unit
Clone Unit makes a full copy of an existing unit, including rates, deposits, party details, email templates and T&Cs — so you don't have to rebuild similar units from scratch.
Click Clone Unit.
Choose the source category and source unit (the one you want to copy).
Choose the target category (where the new unit should live).
- Enter a new name and occupancy for the copy
- Click to clone
Once cloned, open the new unit from the dropdown and tailor any details that should differ from the original.
Deleting a unit
The Delete Unit button only appears when the selected unit has no bookings or dependent data that would prevent deletion. If the button is hidden, you'll need to contact support to request the unit to be archived.

Reordering units and sub-units
This is the biggest change on the Units page. Previously, reordering meant dragging items in the list one at a time. We've replaced that with a full reorder panel that shows all your parent units and their sub-units together, so you can get the whole structure right in one go if you have sub-units.
- Click the sort icon (⇅) next to the Unit dropdown.
- The Reorder Units panel opens, showing each parent unit with a button to select sub-units nested beneath it if you have sub units.
- You can:
-
Drag parent units to reorder the top-level list
-
Use Sort parent units A-Z / Z-A to order all parents alphabetically
and/or
-
Drag sub-units within their parent to reorder them inside that group
-
Use Sort sub units A-Z / Z-A to order sub-units alphabetically inside each parent
4. Click Update Order to apply, or Cancel to back out without changing anything.

Note: the sort buttons re-arrange the on-screen list but don't save until you click Update Order at the bottom of the page — so you can preview an alphabetical layout and still back out if you change your mind.
Getting help without leaving the page
The green ? button in the bottom-right opens the Unit knowledge base article in a side panel alongside the page, so you can read and act on the guidance at the same time.

Click the × at the top of the article to close it.

On phones and tablets
- The many detail tabs automatically become a dropdown on smaller screens so they don't overflow.
- The reorder panel remains usable with touch — drag items using the grab-handle icon to the left of each row.
- The Help drawer switches to a full overlay when there isn't enough room alongside the page.
